Rapid Prototyping for Engineering: Precision, Speed, and Confidence Can you imagine validating every detail of your design before moving into series production? That is the true superpower of industrial rapid prototyping. At ProtoSpain, we make it easy: we take your ideas from CAD drawings to functional parts in days, not weeks. No smoke and mirrors here—we manufacture prototypes that balance millimetric accuracy with the agility every engineer needs when racing against the clock.
Why do engineers choose to work this way?
Precision tailored to your needs: tolerances starting from 0.02 mm on machined parts and true repeatability, whether in aluminum, stainless steels, engineering plastics, or exotic materials for your next challenge.
Real response times: quotations within 24 hours, with express delivery options on request.
Straightforward communication: you will speak directly with an engineer, not a salesperson. We validate feasibility, adjust geometries if needed, and suggest changes when necessary to ensure everything fits.
Full control over finishes: anodizing, industrial painting, texturing, laser engraving, and polishing—because form and aesthetics matter, even in engineering, when presenting a key prototype.
What we offer (and how we do it)
3- and 5-axis CNC machining: for robust, functional parts made from series-equivalent materials. Ideal for assembly checks, load validation, or simply verifying fit.
Professional 3D printing (SLA, SLS, DMLS): impossible geometries, ultra-fine detail prototypes, or functional parts in PA12 nylon or even metals. Perfect for rapid testing, design optimization, and technical visualization.
Vacuum casting and short runs: when multiple realistic copies are required for concept validation, user testing, or pre-series. We use silicone molds and resins that simulate ABS, polypropylene, polycarbonate, including transparent or flexible versions. From 5 to 50 parts, without disproportionate investment.
Process Overview | Accuracy | Recommended Volume | Materials | Typical Lead Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
CNC 3/5-axis | 0,02-0,05 mm | 1–200 parts | Aluminum, steel, POM | 7–10 days |
SLA 3D printing | 0,05-0,1 mm | 1–50 parts | Engineering resins | 5–8 days |
SLS (nylon) | 0,20 mm | 1–100 parts | PA12, TPU | 5–8 days |
Vacuum casting | 0,3 mm | 10–50 parts/model | Rigid & flexible PU | 10-14 days |

Engineering prototyping experts
- Upload your files to our portal (STEP, IGES, CATIA, STL—whatever you use daily).
- We review them and within 24 hours you receive a quotation and personalized technical advice.
- If needed, we help optimize the design: suggestions, material alternatives, cost-adjustment changes.
- Manufacturing, quality control, and direct delivery to your office or laboratory.
- Need to iterate or modify? No drama—we repeat the cycle until it’s exactly what you expect.
- Do you accept very short runs or a single part? Absolutely. No minimums—from a single functional part to as many as your budget allows.
- Which file formats do you prefer? STEP/IGES/CATIA are standard, but we also accept STL for printing and DWG/DXF for simple parts.
- Do you guarantee tolerances?
We measure continuously: CMMs, gauges, calibrated micrometers. Every critical dimension is verified. If any tolerance cannot be guaranteed, it is clearly specified in the quotation
What if my part requires an uncommon material? We search for stock options, and if material engineering is required, we get involved.
- Direct technical consultation: Have a tricky design? Send us the file and we’ll review it together.
- Request your quotation within 24 hours: no obligation, just solutions.
- Looking for design inspiration? Explore our prototype gallery or consult directly with an engineer.
Ready to take your prototype from CAD to the workshop in record time? One click and we’ll talk. Because here, engineering is truly manufactured.
